I enjoyed it a lot. There were so many great moments there. The first scene where Bones is sitting in Spock's room in the dark and talking like Spock until he collapses in Kirk's arms gave me goosebumps. I really enjoyed Christopher Lloyd as a Klingon, and Kirk's devotion was great to see. The weakest part of the movie was the Saavik and David scenes before the Klingons get there... but at least there weren't that many of them.
In short, it was a great movie. I don't know why it's included in the list of the "bad ones"!
1. I finally watched AOS movies 1 and 2. They're good, but I prefer TOS. Also, Spock and Uhura was pretty forced - there was no time to develop much of anything.
2. I am Sherlocked. If you're a fan of Sherlock, you'll get this 🙂
And I watched Thor: Ragnarok opening weekend! It was so good, I'm (probably) going to see it again this weekend! It was amazingly incredibly awesome!!!! Especially Tom Hiddleston/Loki!!!!! And Hela was a really good villain, also - almost as good as Loki 😍
I recently saw a high school production of Legally Blonde: the Musical and it was amazing! I especially loved the "Chip on my Shoulder" song. If this were a Star Trek AU, Spock would be Emmitt, Jim would be Elle, and Bones would be Paulette, but who would be Callahan?

Okay, so I've read part of William Shatner's biography of Leonard Nimoy (titled Leonard, of course), and while they were filming TOS, they did not get along AT ALL. It's a testament to their professionalism that they look so natural as close friends/more on the show.
