I agree with you and Soda. I went into the series very hopeful about the story lines, especially when I saw the setting, the Picard Vinyard and the Romulans in his household, I hoped for a more personal story line focusing on his life after retirement, how he adjusted without his ship, or maybe his life as an Admiral
It went down from there. That whole thing with Dr. Crusher and Jack Crusher, was just forced and really cliched writing, and don’t get me started on Data, dead, not dead, is he really Data, or not really Data, ugh. Season 3 was better, but sadly it just didn’t save the series for me.
It was good to see the whole cast reunited once more, but that’s all I can say for it.
